When traveling abroad, you gotta buy something for yourself, friends and family. In Ha Noi’s Old Quarter rows upon rows of shops line up along the streets to share the beauty of Vietnamese craftsmanship. The items range from ceramics, to clothes, to accessories, to coffee and snacks.
We highly recommend looking into these products as souvenirs for your Vietnam trip:
Pottery Ceramics
For centuries, Vietnam has crafted their own ceramics that used to be a long and tedious task. To this day, they have perfected it to be a durable and highly accessible product. Many of the ceramics come from the Bat Trang ceramic village located just on the outskirts of Ha Noi. They supply ceramic art to almost everyone throughout Vietnam and are considered to be very reputable.

Bamboo Products
Leave it to Vietnamese people to turn Mother Nature’s offerings into useful and eco-friendly household items. Bamboo is a traditional plant in Vietnam that offers multiple uses. They can be used to build houses, but you obviously can’t take that home, so we recommend bringing a bamboo weaved basket or other bamboo decorative items home as a souvenir.

It is famously used for writing and painting, so you can find them being sold in forms of notebooks, greeting cards, and stationery. Lotus Tea
The flower symbol of Vietnam is used in various ways by Vietnamese people. One way is to drink it as tea. Lotus tea is made by having green tea absorb the lotus flower’s natural scent. Repeatedly marinating the two together will help increase the lotus’ floral scent in the tea leaves. The process to make it can be fairly complex and requires a lot of the plant to make a large quantity, therefore, lotus tea is costly but valuable.
